Bug Hotel (large) - project

Wood is measured, cut and assembled to create the carcase, roof and shelving; then crammed full of a variety of types and sized of branches, bamboo and fir-cones to provide a sensible space for all manner of flying insects to make a home. These insects do the valuable job of pollinating our trees and shrubs as well as maintaining a balance of grubs and larvae on plants. Our bug hotel needs an outdoor placement, and can be a thoughtful gift. Children are often captivated by bug hotels, and respect for our environment is now frequently taught at schools.
